Terms of Service

The short version

AbsoluteOne is software that helps you find freelance work, write proposals, deliver client work, and get paid. You stay in charge: every proposal, message, and deliverable is yours to review and send. You own your content; we own the software. Be fair to the platforms you work on, and we'll be fair to you.

1. The service

AbsoluteOne provides opportunity aggregation and scoring, AI-assisted proposals and deliverables, client workspaces, public review links, and invoicing tools ("the Service"). The Service is currently offered in beta: features may change, and we may impose or adjust usage limits per plan. We'll always show your limits in-app before you hit them.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your credentials secure, you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service (or have a guardian's consent where applicable).

3. Acceptable use, especially on freelance marketplaces

Human in the loop, always. AbsoluteOne drafts; you review, edit, and submit. You agree not to use the Service to auto-submit applications, proposals, or messages anywhere.
Respect platform rules. You're responsible for complying with the terms of the marketplaces you use (Upwork, Fiverr, Contra, and others). Our tools are assist-only by design; don't use them to scrape, bulk-apply, or misrepresent yourself.
No misuse. No unlawful content, spam, malware, attempts to breach other users' data, or reselling AI output as a raw generation service.

4. AI-generated content

Proposals, audits, and deliverables are generated by AI grounded in the material you provide. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable, review everything before you send it to a client or platform. Quality scores are AI estimates, not guarantees of client acceptance, payment, or outcomes. You are responsible for the work you ultimately deliver.

5. Your content & ownership

You own everything you put in and everything you generate: your samples, brand voices, proposals, deliverables, and client data. You grant us only the limited license needed to store and process that content to operate the Service. We don't use your content to train models or for advertising, and we never sell it.

6. Payments

Client payments stay between you and your clients on whatever platform or payment method you use, AbsoluteOne never touches those funds and charges only for the software subscription. Paid plans (when available) renew until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. Usage limits are hard caps: when you reach a cap, generation pauses and we never bill overage automatically. You choose whether to upgrade your plan or buy an optional one-time top-up.

7. Refunds

First subscription purchase: full refund within 14 days of your first payment, no questions asked. Email us and we'll process it.
Deliverable top-ups: refundable within 14 days if the credits are unused.
Renewals: cancel anytime before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Renewal payments aren't refunded pro-rata, but you keep full access until the end of the paid period.

To request a refund, email founder@absoluteone.ai from your account email. Where checkout is handled by our merchant of record (such as Paddle.com or Dodo Payments, as shown on your receipt), the refund is issued through them to your original payment method.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable. On deletion, we remove your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided "as is" during beta, without warranties of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $50 if you're on the free plan). Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we'll notify you in-app or by email; continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
